Based on the book "Verzauberte Bilder" by Frieder Ryser
Translated by Rudy Eswarin
This colorful book was published in connection with a 1992 exhibit at The Corning Museum of Glass that focused on high-quality paintings on glass in Europe and China from the early 1500s to the early 1800s. This art form is often overlooked by museums, but as the book shows, the best examples are as colorful and stunning as the day they were created. The exhibit at the Corning museum was drawn from the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Frieder Ryser of Bern, Switzerland, and much of the information in this book is from Frieder Ryser's writings.
