This new collection from Cat Burns explores the beauty within swirling thoughts and emotional noise with an emphasis on destigmatizing mental health. After painting with powdered glass colors, essentially color maps of emotions, Cat Burns fuses them together in a kiln before bringing them into the hot shop. Once in the hot shop Cat picks up the colors and plays with distorting them through stretching, mixing, and blowing to create the finished piece.
