Anna Boothe: Handy and Wise Sculpture

This great pate de verre piece is by Anna Boothe, a glass artist from Zieglerville, Pennsylvania. In her work, the artist explores the relationships between our internal reactions and external projections through glass, with pieces that facilitate self-comprehension.

Many of Boothe's objects include hands as symbols. Their use carries an underlying tone of commonality between cultures: familiarity, camaraderie, and the general ability to communicate.

Boothe's work is in the permanent collection of The Corning Museum of Glass and many private collections.
