Cynthia Gale: Ennion Statement Topaz Necklace
Presenting Cynthia Gale's newest GeoArt Collection: The Corning Museum of Glass Collection - Ennion Cup.
The blue glass cup which served as inspiration for this jewelry was created by a glass artisan named Ennion in the early first century ad. Ennion was the first glassmaker to sign his glass objects by incorporating his name into the inscriptions that formed part of the mold's design, and thus he stands among a small group of glass workers whose names have come down to us from antiquity.
Manhattan based jewelry designer, Cynthia Gale, celebrates Ennion's legacy through exquisite, artisan-crafted sterling silver jewelry inspired by the details found in the cup's design. The Collections are accented with opalescent art glass or Swarovski crystals.
