Lalique: Languedoc Vase, Bronze
This vase takes us to the lands of Languedoc, a region in the South of France that offers many landscapes: wide open spaces, shrubland, and beautiful gorges. The raw beauty of this land inspired René Lalique, who designed this vase with accentuated relief and generous proportions in 1929. Fashioned in satin-finished and re-polished bronze crystal, cactus leaves overlay in a graphic play on repetition.
Lalique was founded by noted jeweler and glass artist René Lalique. The company has been in operation in France for more than a century.
